Apparently we should not use the term couch potato [Wikipedia definition] any more as this is giving the humble potato a bad image, according to the British Potato Council. Read more here. They are apparently mounting protests outside the offices of Oxford University Press – printers of the Oxford English Dictionary – to request the term be removed from the dictionary.The dictionary has been in the press this summer about additional works that make it into their new edition – podcast [link to Wikipedia definition] and chav. The Wikipedia definition of chav is well worth a read – seems to sum things up perfectly. Now I suspect the chav would be more likely to be a couch potato than a member of the British Potato Council…

@jonworth if this is the EC train that crosses from Rzepin into Germany and halts at Frankfurt Oder the checks used to be irregular but since the War started in Feb it's for every train every time. and yes they behave like utter bastards. sorry you had to experience it first hand.
