I've only once before encountered this - in Thailand
Where having a ticket for a stop *further* than the one you are going to was not able to be used if you got off earlier...
This is pretty weird if you think about it. But weird pricing means weird enforcement I suppose!
@Card5hark @jonworth Hi there. Advance tickets are only available for select journeys/routes in limited numbers. Additionally these tickets wouldn't permit getting off a stop earlier, they're fixed and you must travel on the set train from your origin to your destination. ^Alex.S
Also this is not dissimilar to the increasing % of the UK population showing Settler behaviour that @campaignstrat has observed.
