Ken Livingstone’s new website for his campaign to be re-elected as Mayor of London has been launched today, and I’m happy and relieved to see that it’s a major step forward as Boris was ahead in the online race for a while. The site is very Ken-orientated and is low on Labour branding – all the better for that as after all this is a campaign about a person as much as it’s a campaign about a party. All the features you would expect of a well-organised campaign website are in place: blog, videos from supporters, donations, and a campaign newsletter. The buttons to put on your own website are also really slick, and I like the motif of the London skyline on the homepage. I’m looking forward to following how the site develops.
